David Tiplady - BlueTusk Rowing the Atlantic 2023

DAVID TIPLADY

A veteran of 11 Ironman races with a passion for endurance sport

David is a veteran of eleven Ironman races, has ridden a bicycle the entire length of the UK on three separate occasions (twice in the real world and once virtually), has run 15 marathons across Europe and more on the treadmill. He was also a Cycling Dove at the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.

He’s looking forward to every moment of being on the ocean and raising money for 2 fantastic charities.

Chris Wood - BlueTusk Rowing the Atlantic 2023

CHRIS WOOD

With a passion for adventure activities previously rowed for the British Army

Chris rowed competitively at university and then went on to represent both his Corps and the British Army in regattas across the UK. In recent years he has returned to rowing, but this time indoors, where he has enjoyed pushing himself by completing half and full marathons. He is under no illusion that Ocean rowing will be a very different, and a far tougher challenge. Chris has enjoyed many adventure training expeditions during his time in the Army but nothing on the scale of this Challenge.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He’s looking forward to testing himself and being part of a team that will take on the mighty Atlantic Ocean and everything the open sea can throw at them. He’s also motivated by the opportunity to give something back, raising awareness and funds for two fantastic charities

He’s looking forward to every moment of being on the ocean and raising money for 2 fantastic charities.
